June Vintage Bike OC Meet
Bultaco Emblem

Huntington Beach, Calif. - What a great almost-summer day today in Huntington Beach. We had perfect weather and a great turnout today. At 2:00pm there were already 52 bikes in the lot, and by the end the official count was 125.

BAM: Breakdown and Legal Assistance for Motorcyclists
Kitty Brooks, So Cal Marketing Rep for Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys spent her Sunday afternoon with us promoting their BAM program. Learn more about it at: www.RussBrown.com

We had very widespread voting today, but we had one clear winner and a tie for third place.

Bike of the Month
Kenny Easton and his 1971 Bultaco Sherpa T Model 49
Congratulations to Kenny Easton of Fullerton for winning Bike of the Month with his 1971 Bultaco Sherpa T Model 49. Kenny won the Bike of the Month trophy provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys. www.RussBrown.com. Kenny just finished restoration on his Bultaco which he has owned since October of last year.

Read all about the 1971 Bultaco Sherpa on our Bike of the Month page.

Second Place
Bruce Fickling and his 1974 Rickman
Bruce Fickling of San Clemente came in Second with his 1974 Rickman. Bruce just bought the Rickman back in January at the Mecum auction in Las Vegas. It was part of a museum collection for 45 years.

Bruce won Bike of the Month just back in August 2017 with his 1972 Norton 750 Commando Fastback August 2017 Bike of the Month

Third Place - Tie
Robert Beaver and his 1966 BMW R60/2 with TR500 Sidecar
Robert Beaver of Lake Forest tied for Third place with his 1966 BMW R60/2 with TR500 Sidecar. This is the first time Robert brought his R60/2 with the sidecar. Last week at the Huntington Beach Concours, this bike won the overall best bike award.

Jeb Burgaren's 1975 Norton Commando 850
Jeb Burgaren of Placentia tied for Third place with his 1975 Norton Commando 850. This may have been Jeb's first meet, he took off too fast at the end, and I couldn't shoot a photo, or get anymore information about his pristine Norton.

The first and second place winners were awarded a free admission pass to the Lyon Air Museum for use at the Bikes and Bombers show coming up on August 18, 2018. Lyon Air Museum 7th Annual Bikes & Bombers event

The second and third place winners were awarded EuroPapi t-shirts provided by Roland Ortiz of EuroPapi Motorcycle Streetwear, www.europapiusa.com.

Thanks to everyone for showing up and making this another great event and a special thanks to the team, Tom & Debbie Hopkins. I'll see you next month on July 8, 2018.

Keep On Ridin',
Joe Kagerer
