Steve Lacy and Tony Dunn with Brown Sugar Make: Triumph Model: TR6 Country of Origin: England Engine: 650cc Twin Transmission: 4 speed Year: 1964 Owner: Steve Lacy City: Long Beach Builder: Tony Dunn		1964 Triumph TR6 Brown Sugar Congratulations to Steve Lacy of Long Beach for winning Bike of the Month with his 1964 Triumph TR6 custom. Steve said that the concept for the bike was to "build it to look like it was manufactured by a merger of Triumph and Harley". The bike is named Brown Sugar and was built by Tony Dunn of Classic Cycles in Orange. The two year build was finished in January 2010. It has a stock 650cc twin with a single carb, but has a Bob Newby racing clutch and a highly modified DNA springer front end. See all the pictures in our December Gallery. The Bike of the Month contest is held monthly at the Vintage Bike OC meet. Qualifying motorcycles must be 30 years old or older. Former Bike of the Month winning bikes are not eligible to win again. Anyone attending the meet is eligible to enter a qualifying bike in the contest and vote for their favorite bike. The winning bike is chosen by a popular vote and is featured on the Home page for one month and in this feature article. The Bike of the Month articles are permanent content on the site.
