Congratulations to Doug Rickertsen of Huntington Beach for winning Bike of the Month with his 1975 Honda MT250 Elsinore.
Doug won a plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
He's placed Second with this bike a couple of times in the past, today he finally got his well deserved win.
Doug bought the bike in Phoenix, Arizona about a year and a half ago. He had this one and two parts bikes
to get the best results possible. The restoration took about eight months to complete.
The paint is credited to Pat Hawley of Costa Mesa. Pat Hawleywood Hawley is also a Speedway rider
who has been to our meet.
This is the third time he has won Bike of the Month. Here's the run down:
August 2022 - 1975 Honda MR50
April 2021 - 1971 Honda SL125

The Bike of the Month contest is held monthly at the Vintage Bike OC meet. Qualifying motorcycles must be 30 years old or older. Former Bike of the Month winning bikes are not eligible to win again.
Anyone attending the meet is eligible to enter a qualifying bike in the contest and vote for
their favorite bike. The winning bike is chosen by a popular vote and is featured on the Home page for one month and in this feature article. The Bike of the Month articles are permanent content on the site.
