Congratulations to Gerry Hutchinson of Coto de Caza for winning Bike of the Month. A very rare bike, his 1969 Rickman is one of 100 bikes made in this configuration. The Rickman brothers of England hand built frames and fitted their bikes with other manufacturer's engines of the day. This model has the Royal Enfield 750cc Interceptor II engine.
The Rickman frame is hand made from Reynolds 431 Chrome Moly tubing. The welds are beautiful and the nickel plated frame is flawless.
Gerry has owned this bike since 1974. He bought it as a box of parts which the previous owner couldn't put back together. Gerry put it together right after buying it and has riden it ever since. The paint job is about ten years old.
He owns several motorcycles including a 77 Harley and an 83 BMW. Maybe we'll be seeing one of those bikes soon. Thank you Gerry for sharing this bike with us.
