Huntington Beach, Calif. - Just another perfect day in HB. We had a great turnout today, at least 55 bikes. Not a record, just a great size crowd and a wide variety of bikes.
The voting for Bike of the Month was all over the board. Craig Bryant of Anaheim tied with Perry Owen for first place. Perry and his wife left early on their 1956 Ariel Square Four, so Craig was deemed the winner with his 1975 Norton Commando. Bruce Balla was a close second with his 1957 Ariel Square Four. All three of those bikes are awesome.
Two bikes that were extremely rare, were a miniture Suzuki powered by a COX .049 Single that only runs on Nitro (pictured at left) and a Yamaha Shaft Drive pedal bicycle. Both of these were one-of-a-kind. See all the photos in this month's gallery.
Dana Point Concours d'Elegance - June 27, 2010
For the first time, the Dana Point Concours is allowing classic motorcycles. Bill McClennen was at our meet today passing out applications. For more information, visit our Events page for links and his email address.
Thanks again to everyone for showing up and making this another great event. I'll see you again on July 11, 2010.
Keep On Ridin',
Joe Kagerer
