Congratulations to Todd Milar of Laguna Beach for winning Bike of the Month with his 1970 Parilla custom racing bike. Robert Bryson and Rolando Ortiz brought it to our meet along with four other custom bikes. Orlando is the owner of our sponsor, Euro Papi a Laguna Beach motorcycle clothing shop.
The bike was nearly 100% custom fabricated. It was built 15 years ago by Todd Milar and the late Tom Rightmeyer. Todd and Tom built the bike as a show piece to demonstrate their incredible fabrication skills.
Aside from the Ceriani fork, the front brake and the Parilla engine, the rest of the bike was hand made. Including the frame, tank, fenders, and number plates.
The phenomenal craftsmanship in these part are truely works of art.
The bike was not built to run, so there was some hesitation on my part whether to allow it in our competition. I decided to put a number on it, and the popular vote confirmed that notion.
Thank you Robert and Rolando for bringing it to our meet.
Tink and I shot many photos in our April Gallery.
