Congratulations to Mark Abrahams of New York City for winning Bike of the Month with his 1975 Norton 850 Commando Mark III.
Mark won a plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
This is Mark's second Bike of the Month win. He won with his
1974 Ducati 750 Super Sport in January 2019
Mark has only owned the bike for about three months. It was built by Colorado Norton Works. It's not the first
cNw bike we've had at the meet, they are very nice custom builds.
He had been looking for a Norton for several years and had contacted Colorado Norton Works, but the lead time was over a year so he started looking at the used market.
He was in the middle of working when he got a notification on his phone that the E-Bay auction was about to end, he put in a slightly higher bid and the rest is history.
Originally from Tustin, Mark now lives in New York city. His brother Steve Abrahams of Seal Beach has the privilege of overseeing the California collection.
Steve actually rode the Norton to the meet, so maybe the plaque should go to him.
