Congratulations to Dave Palmer of Huntington Beach for winning Bike of the Month with his 1972 Moto Guzzi Eldorado.
Dave won a plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
Dave has owned this bike for over 10 years and was bringing it to our meet when we were at Massimo's Pizza in the early days.
He followed us over to Beach Burgers, but then was transferred out of state for six years. He was happy to find us again when
he returned to So Cal.
Dave restored the Moto Guzzi ten years ago and added the Kozi sidecar about five years ago.
The sidecar is unique with it's own speedometer. Dave's granddaughter wanted to know the speed, so he installed the Guzzi's original speedometer into the sidecar.
A couple of other unique features on this bike are the four leading shoe front drum brake and the larger police version of the speedometer.
Dave also owns a 1986 Moto Guzzi V65 Lario and commutes daily on his Ducati Monster.
