This was Kirt's first time at the meet with his Ariel Square 4.
Kirt and his brother Craig have been coming to the meet for years with Craig's 1978 Honda CB750. Unfortunately Craig passed away in 2013, but
Kirt kept bringing the Honda.
Three months ago, Kirt was meeting with a client who owned the Ariel and had it on display in their business as a museum piece.
After some negotiations, they offered Kirt the bike in exchange for his work, a nice win-win situation.
The Ariel has spent 25 years of it's life in a Michigan museum until Kirt's client obtained it. Doing some research, Kirt found out
that the engine was rebuilt by a respected builder up in Santa Monica, so he figured it would be pretty solid.
More research connected him with Thor Faber in Huntington Beach who is involved internationally in the Ariel community. Thor had nearly every
part needed to make the Arie road worthy. After only three months, it's on the road.

The Bike of the Month contest is held monthly at the Vintage Bike OC meet. Qualifying motorcycles must be 30 years old or older. Former Bike of the Month winning bikes are not eligible to win again.
Anyone attending the meet is eligible to enter a qualifying bike in the contest and vote for
their favorite bike. The winning bike is chosen by a popular vote and is featured on the Home page for one month and in this feature article. The Bike of the Month articles are permanent content on the site.
