Marcus Davin with his 1939 Indian Chief Make: Indian Model: Chief Year: 1939 Country of Origin: USA Engine: 1200cc Twin Transmission: 3 speed Owner: Marcus Davin City: Newport Beach		1939 Indian Chief Congratulations to Marcus Davin of Newport Beach for winning Bike of the Month with his 1939 Indian Chief. Marcus has several very nice bikes and has placed several times and won Bike of the Month twice in the past: December 2013 1938 BMW R12 September 2013 1966 BMW R50/2 Marcus has owned this Chief for a year. He had the recent restoration completed by Kiwi Indian in Riverside. 1939 World's Fair The 1939 World's Fair was held in New York City. The color scheme on this bike was specially created for the World's Fair. Thanks Marcus for bringing it to our meet. See all the photos in our March Gallery.

The Bike of the Month contest is held monthly at the Vintage Bike OC meet. Qualifying motorcycles must be 30 years old or older. Former Bike of the Month winning bikes are not eligible to win again. Anyone attending the meet is eligible to enter a qualifying bike in the contest and vote for their favorite bike. The winning bike is chosen by a popular vote and is featured on the Home page for one month and in this feature article. The Bike of the Month articles are permanent content on the site.
